A trained economist, Kendi Aig-Imoru found in the media her work field, her outlet to humanity, and choosing the children, her humanitarian service; her life’s calling; applying workable economics.
Kendi’s need to reach out to others made her veer into human communication, finding outlet in the media where she’s worked across its parts. Writing and editing stories on social issues, travel, culture, and issues as varied as the environment, religion, NGOs, Kendi’s journalism criss-crossed newspaper, magazine, internet, TV and radio media; working as a broadcaster, producer, editor and PR practitioner.
Her blog, Mykrossroads is her extra window to the world. It began as a small contribution to the dialog on such wide-ranging issues as women, Africans, Athenians and African women in Athens. Now, it’s simply devoted to Africans.
Please feel free to join the discussions by including your comments on the topics that stir your heart.where she shares thoughts on perplexities of life and issues that make for better humanity.
Having come full circle with human matters, Kendi hugs humanity in flesh and blood, taking on its most vulnerable part, the children through an NGO, Hope For Life Initiative that sees to the care and mentoring of children in disadvantaged parts of Nigeria, giving method and meaning to their lives. She is also passionately involved in helping disadvantged widows in Nigeria.
Thanks for stopping by and i hope you find something interesting.

Hello, Kendi! Just wanted to stop by the new site and say congrats! I’ve not been connected much in the last month—swamped with work and just led a women’s retreat over the weekend, so my blog visits have been few (and my blog has been rather neglected). I’m out here for a bit today catching up!
I’ve just started the Beasts of No Nation book . . . have you read that? I discuss it briefly in a post; the author interview was excellent—thought you might be interested. Also heard of a book titled King Leopald’s Ghost, about Congo . . . hope to read that soon too. If you read these, let’s discuss.
Thank You Erin. I haven’t read the books, will look them up and look forward to discussing the King Leopald’s Ghost with you.
Mykrossroads is a good concept, whose time has come. Keep up the spirit
