THE PARTHENON MARBLES

The Parthenon Marbles and their possible return to Greece is the hottest news this week. The Marbles have been housed in a British Museum since 1815 and sources at the Museum have said under no circumstance will they be returned to Greece.
The Director of the new Acropolis Museum Dimitris Pandermalis agrees that the reunification of the divided pieces is very important, because visitors will see the Marbles in their real historical environment.
The decision on whether the fragments should be put together has to be made, as having some parts in London and others in Athens is not realistic.
