Africa has become so widespread, that it has erased decades of progress. Today, one person in every family is affected by the disease. Many who are infected need care, and often times, leave behind orphans who can barely cater for their own needs. The resultant affect, is the dramatic impact on the labour force. This in turn, is having a major effect on Africa’s economic development. The South African Ambassador to Greece, Ms, Dona Marasha, spoke on the issue and offered some solutions to curbing the disease. Including interview with the South African ambassador to Greece.
