AFRICA HAS POOREST INTERNET ACCESS

Internet access in Africa is still the poorest in the world according to a study commissioned by the international accountancy firm Ernst & Young. The study Africa Connected: Telecommunication growth story, found many people in rural areas continue to have no internet access due to its high cost and poor infrastructure. It said most countries in the eastern region of the African continent are totally dependent on satellite. Governments and telecommunciations operators are now laying submarine cable systems, which will enhance connectivity
