S KOREA SIGNS DEAL TO BUILD HOMES IN GHANA

A South Korean construction firm has closed a deal to build 200,000 homes in Ghana over the next six years, according to official reports from Seoul. The project is a joint venture with Ghana’s government, which will share the total cost estimated at 10 billion US dollars. Seoul officials explained that 90,000 of the homes will be owned by the state, while the rest will be sold. They will be built in 10 different cities across the country, including the capital Accra. South Korea has expressed intentions of investing in infrastructure projects in sub-Saharan Africa. It has also signed various deals recently to access farmland in the African continent to secure food supplies.
